| There
are very few bands in the history of modern music that have been as
important, influential, monumental, and overlooked as Teen
Slain. the rumors and legends are enough to fill a book.
formed in virginia in 1988, this trio was the most hard hitting, gut
wrenching, loudest, tightest, disheveled, drunken, sober, beautiful,
disastrous band to ever perform. if you
were one of the lucky few who witnessed their greatness, you will forever
own a piece of history that many of us can only dream of. to see this
band in the eight months between forming, rising to infamy, and then
abruptly disbanding after the mysterious disappearance of drummer Franky
James, was to truly witness perfection. their sound
was, and still is, untouchable. the bass guitar has never been so humbled
as it was by Chad Nelson. James' merciless drumming was so violent,
it's flawless ability often went unnoticed. Todd Henry's vocals delivered
such beauty and eloquence in words, with such violent emotional force,
its impossible to describe the significance. |

Teen
Slain recorded only one album, self titled and containing 8 tracks,
each more unbelievable than the last. two days before its release on
jan 17th of 1989, after a gig in South Carolina, drummer Franky James
disappeared without a trace. there was no explanation, even after a
thorough investigation by the State Police. he simply vanished, never
to return. Teen Slain's debut was released by the now defunct Label
Records, pressing only 300 12" lps in its initial run.
the second run of 5,000 was halted by request of the band surrounding
James' inexplicable disappearance. |

| no copies have been spotted on ebay, none have been found in the dusty bins of an old record shop. most likely they were played until the record simply wore out. or perhaps they were just lost in the changing tides as malls and money took control of the music in the late 80s. | |||||||
Blonde Records now re-releases this masterpiece in its original state, from the original tapes. no re-mastering, no digital noise reduction. just a limited edition of 100 12" jet black vinyl of one of the best albums ever recorded. our tribute to the greatest, most influential, groundbreaking, inimitable, and least known bands ever to exist. its our way of saying thanks for the beautiful music, and passing the legend on to a new generation. . .
